Groton Little League has been in existence since 1952. The key ingredients to building a successful program are positivity, commitment, hard work, and a respect for the game and one another. Our goals are to instill a good work ethic, play smart, and win together through resiliency.
Little League International’s founding core mission is "To promote, develop, supervise, and voluntarily assist in all lawful ways, the interest of those who will participate in Little League Baseball". We are here to help players become better athletes, teammates, and citizens.
Our mission is to build a strong, long-lasting program that feels more like a baseball “family” than anything else. We invite and encourage children in our community to come and be a part of something bigger than themselves, now and in years to come. We help instill confidence in young athletes, both on and off the field. We not only teach the fundamentals and mechanics of the game, but values that will help each player succeed in life. We believe when players have high emotional intelligence, nothing will hold them back in all aspects of life. Through proper guidance and exemplary leadership, the Little League program assists youth in developing the qualities of citizenship, discipline, teamwork, and physical well-being. By espousing the virtues of character, courage, and loyalty, our Little League Baseball program is designed to develop superior citizens rather than superior athletes.
